Symptoms:

At early stages, this disease has no symptoms. However, anyone can develop glaucoma. People with diabetes have a high risk of glaucoma. Mostly, the patient of glaucoma suffers through blurred vision, nausea and headache.

Causes:

Excessive drainage of fluid in eye or drainage of aqueous humor is blocked, which leads to optic nerve failure. Research shows that it is caused by poor blood circulation in the optical nerve and increased blood pressure throughout your body.

Prevention and Medications:

With its no symptoms at early stages, it can be avoided by having regular sessions with your doctor. If found, it is usually treated with eye drops. Afterward, laser treatments and surgeries are also suggested.

Symptoms:

Blurred vision when seeing far-off things. Due to over-focusing to understand distant things can result in a headache as well. Usually, people recognize this problem while seeing the blackboard in classes or identifying faces from distances.

Causes:

This is a refractive error of the eye. Light rays passing through eyes form an image outside of the retina which is an incorrect position. However, this is caused by either eyeball is longer than usual, or the cornea is more curves than normal. This is also a genetic disease if both of your parents are suffering from the disease then you are more likely to inherit it. Both adults and young ones are affected by this eye health problems.

Prevention and Medications:

People with a lot of work associated with gadgets or reading re more likely to suffer. However, for permanent correction laser surgery are also available. People also use concave lens glasses to overcome the problem. Taking a significant amount of vitamin A can prevent short-sightedness.

Common Eye Infections & Symptoms:

Difficulty in focusing on nearby things. Excessive stress to focus things can result in a headache.

Causes:

It is also a refractive error caused by either eyeball is shorter than usual or less curved cornea or eye lens is thinner than usual. The image is formed behind the retina in the eye instead of forming on the retina. This is also an inherited condition. Aging factor is a major cause of this disability.

Prevention and Medications:

Same as short-sightedness use of vitamin A in diet can prevent it. However, laser surgeries are also available for permanent cure. Use of convex lens glasses can improve the vision condition.

Symptoms:

One is unable to differentiate between different shades of the same colors. Most people are unable to recognize between red and green, blue and purple etc.

Causes:

It is a genetic disease. It is caused due to the sensitivity of cells found in the retina (called cones) towards the light. The cells only respond to color by sensing their wavelengths. If there is a difference between sensitivity in the cones then, one is said to be color blind.

Prevention and Medications:

There is no prevention or medication of this disease. However, certain filter glasses are invented which helps the patient to improve his/her ability to see colors.
